Obituary of Thomas Alan Beshara

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Thomas "Tom" Beshara, of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Anne (Byers) Beshara, which occurred on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 25, 1956, he was a son of the late Peter G. and Lois (Ferris) Beshara. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, Tae Kwon Do, playing darts and pool. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was taking his son to his hockey games, taking his daughter to soccer games and karate, or spending time with his grandchildren, Tom was never happier when he was with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne; two children, Tonya (Mark) Smith of Quispamsis and Tom of B.C.; four grandchildren, Tori, Avery and Nate Smith and Zachary; two sisters, Pat Alexander of Sussex, NB and Shirley McKinnon (John) of Ontario; two brothers, John of Montreal and Peter "Tiny" of Saint John; mother-in-law, Freda Byers; sister-in-law, Valerie Theriault and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by three sisters, Linda Beckingham; Sharon Beshara and Diana "Dee Dee" Beshara and two brothers, David and Charles Beshara; father-in-law, Clair Byers and brother-in-law, Kevin Byers. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 am from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
