Obituary of Murray Robert Crothers

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Murray Robert Crothers of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Mary Louise (Blanchard) Crothers, occurred on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex on April 7, 1926 he was a son of the late Murray Rutherford and Jessie (Brooks) Crothers. Murray was employed with Roy’s Midway as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of Waterloo Street Baptist Church. Murray is survived by his four children: Wayne (Sharon), Robert, David (Tina) Crothers all of Saint John; and Mary Jean (Glenn) Gillette of Beaverton, ON; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by sister, Marjorie and special friend, Mary Extell. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visiting on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
