Obituary of Florence Beatrice Cockrane

Surrounded by her family the death of Florence Cockrane occuurred at her residence on Monday, December 13, 2010 after a period of failing health. She was born on November 20, 1924 at Lewis Settlement to the late Ora and Annie (Morrisey) Campbell. Florence worked for Northern Telecom as an inspector for many years until retirement. She is survived by two daughters: Eloise Rogers of Saint John and Linda Bedford (George) of Memphis, TE; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by a daughter, Donna and sister, Flora Steeves. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). At Florence’s request, there will be no traditional visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Havelock Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
