Obituary of William Joseph Curtis

Surrounded by his family the death of Bill Curtis, husband of the late Joan Marie (Dorbyson) Curtis occurred on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Rocmaura Nursing Home. He was born on May 11, 1935 in the Miramichi to the late William A. and M. Elizabeth (Dennis) Curtis. Bill worked construction all of his life; working with Strescon, Rocca Construction and Ocean Steel. He is survived by three sons: Dwayne (Angele), Vernon and Stephen Curtis all of Saint John; two daughters: Kimberly Profit and Marjorie Curtis (Kevin) both of Saint John; three sisters: Veronica Fitzherbert, Bernice Hayes and Blanche Donovan (Bud); eight grandchildren: Kevin, Alisha, Amber, Megan, Austin, Hailey, Christopher and Ashlyn; great grandson, Brayden and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Bill was predeceased by grandson, Matthew and brother Patrick. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Romero House or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
