Obituary of Marion Winnifred Marr

Marion Marr, wife of the late Alfred Marr, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 8, 2012. Born in Saint John on January 6, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Bertram Oswald and Emma Jane (Davidson) Lackie. Survived by her son, Wayne (Lorraine) Cochrane, daughter Mona Campbell-Woodard, step-daughters Betty (Fred) Hopey and Mary Sullivan, sister Audrey Cyr, grandchildren Christine, Mark, Laura, Michael, Pam and Paul, as well as many great-grandchildren,nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda (John) Bonnell, twin sister Muriel, sister Marjorie, granddaughter Mandy Cochrane, and twin grandchildren Dayna and Daniel Bonnell. A special thank you to Mountain View Home Care for the great care they provided for my grandmother. Although there will be no visitation, friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service, which will be held at Fernhill Cemetery on Tuesday, March 13th at 2:00 PM, with a reception immediately following at the Hampton Inn. For those who wish, remembrances to the Joshua Group would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). "Losing my Grandmother is a great loss. She had been quite sick for six months, but I’m glad to see she’s finally at peace. My Nan loved to see her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the most kind hearted and talented woman I had ever met. She will be deeply missed by all."
