Obituary of Donna Mae Smith

The unexpected death of Donna Smith, wife of Rod Smith, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, July 15, 2011. She was born on January 4, 1962 in Saint John to Mary (Cameron) Lawrence and the late Alfred Lawrence. Donna was a loving wife and mother; she devoted her life to her family. She was avid gardener and enjoyed going on the Harley for rides with her husband. Besides her husband Rod, she is survived by a son, Peter Smith; daughters: Melissa Smith (Matt) and Chelsea Smith; granddaughter, Alannah; siblings: Joan Ritchie (Gene), Kenny Lawrence (Heather), John Lawrence (Susan) and Lisa Lawrence and several brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her adored cats: Stewie and Puff Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
