Obituary of Melbourne A. Smith

The death of Melbourne Smith of Saint John, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his residence. Born in Saint John on May 16, 1931, he was a son of the late Sterling and Josephine (Johnston) Smith. He is survived by his children, Melbourne Smith of Saint John; Claude Smith of Browns Flat; Clayton Smith of Saint John; Rose Smith (William Landry) of Saint John; Timothy Smith of Saint John; Clinton Smith of Saskatchewan; Joane Smith of Saint John; Everett Smith of Saint John; Mary Ann Smith of Saint John and Paula Smith of Martinon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In keeping with Melbourne’s wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
