Obituary of Herbert Ronald Curbishley

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Herbert Ronald Curbishley, husband of Patricia (Holmes) Curbishley, which occurred on Saturday, November 05, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Long Creek, NB on August 3, 1936 he was a son of the late Robert and Ellen (Harris) Curbishley. Herbert loved to do woodworking and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to listen to the country music program on the radio with Bob Henry. He never missed the program. Herbert worked at various jobs throughout his life, such as Air Canada, Canada Packers and Christie Woodworking. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; six children, Herbert "Tony" (Susan McNeil) of Orangeville, ON; Susan Curbishley of Saint John; Jamie Hatelt (Rick) of Brampton, ON; Christine Curbishley (Bill Bowes) of Upperton, NB; John Curbishley of Orangeville and Will Curbishley (Caitlyn Hare) of Orangeville; one grandson, Tyler Hatelt; three brothers, Robert (Sylvia) of Sussex Corner, NB; Fred (Betty) of Saint John and Stephen (Deborah) of Quispamsis; one aunt, Ann "Nan" Harris; his golden retriever, Fargo; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday, November 7, 2011from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:00 am from St. Pius X Church. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
