Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Craven

The death of Ruth Elizabeth Craven occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Born at Saint John on March 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late James and Pansy (Bridges) Craven. Ruth is survived by a brother, Charles Craven (Connie) of Willow Grove and a sister, Margie Dunlop (Bob) of Fredericton; three nephews, James Craven, of Willow Grove, John Craven (Letitia McDermott) of Saint John, and Andrew Craven of Windsor, Ontario; six nieces, Cathy and Jeannie of Brandon, MB, Cathline and Margaret of Western Canada, Lora Howe (Eldon) of Hoyt and Georgie Robertson (Terry) of Saint John. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Edith Ibbotson. To honour Ruth’s request, there will be no visiting or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
