Obituary of Marjorie Louise Coholan

It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Marjorie Louise Coholan of Saint John, wife of the late William F. Coholan, which occurred on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 14, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Bertha Lawrence. Marjorie is survived by her two children, Michael (Patricia) Coholan of Quispamsis, NB and Marilyn (Joseph) Lam of Guelph, ON; four grandchildren, Mark (Tara) Coholan and Krista (Matthew) Marsh, Jennifer and Christopher Lam; three great-grandchildren, Ashton, Liam and Ciara Coholan; three sisters, Mae Barry and Fanny (Donald) Hanlon both of Saint John, and Bertie Doyle of Nova Scotia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and husband; sister, Vi Fairweather; brother, Harold Lawrence; and nephew, Ronald Lawrence. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:00 am, with Marjorie’s husband’s 1st cousin, Rev. Bill Elliott as Celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
