Obituary of Edward Joshua Morris

It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Edward "Josh" Joshua Morris of Saint John, NB, husband of Helen (Holland) Morris, which occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born on December 23, 1921 in Canso, NS, he was a son of the late Donald and Laura (Jarvis) Morris. Josh was employed with the Federal Government in the Consumer and Corporate Affairs, weights and measures. Josh had served in WWII with the Navy as a leading seaman. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Andrea Lowney (Dr. Mark) of Quispamsis, Margo Beckett (Brian) of Browns Flat; one sister, Mina Philpitt of Saint John; three grandchildren, Jason Beckett (Heather), Sara and Matthew Sullivan (Nathalie); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Richard; one sister, Margaret Smith. To honour Josh’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
