Obituary of Doris E. Stilwell

STILWELL, Doris E. Doris Stilwell, wife of the late Lawrence E. Stilwell, passed away on October 19th, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Waterborough, Queens Co. on September 24, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Alice (Jeffrey) Slocum. She is survived by her sons Blaine (Claudette), Wayne (Patricia), Gary (Shelley), Roger (Angela), daughters Joan (William) Dowd, Sandra MacLeod, Diane (Brian) Cormier, sister Kathleen Orchard of Waterborough, sister-in-law Mary Slocum, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was pre-deceased by her sister, Marjorie Burke, as well as brothers Lloyd and Clifford Slocum, and her granddaughter, Christine Dowd. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
