Obituary of Alice Estella Price

The death of Alice Estella Price of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Edward Price, occurred on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Bobby’s Hope House surrounded by her daughters, Faye and Dorothy. Born in Saint John on September 22, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Hartt) McFarland. An avid gardener and baker, Alice was well known for her beautiful gardens and delicious sugared donuts. Alice shared a special relationship with her granddaughter Elizabeth and was the proud grandmother of David Haynes and Tom Hatfield. Alice is survived by her loving sister Dorothy (Marshall) and her brother Raymond McFarland. A celebration of Alice’s life will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2:00pm, followed by a reception at Brenan’s Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hope House.
