Obituary of Gertrude May Craig

Gertrude Craig (formerly of Belmont Street) passed away peacefully on September 17, 2011 at the Loch Lomond Villa. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Alberton PEI, the only child of the late George W. Oliver and Ida (Ramsey) Oliver. She was employed with Zellers on King Street for over 30 years retiring in 1985. She was a long time member of the Wesleyan Church on Boars Head Road. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband William A. Craig in 1990 and her eldest son William R. (Bobby) Craig in 1984. She is survived by her son Wayne W. Craig (Jane), daughter in law Sharon Craig; grandchildren Gordon Craig (Dawn) and Deborah Czobor (Steve), Heather Robinson (Charles), Pamela Hawkins (Christopher); great grandchildren Rachel and Sarah Craig, Adam and Emily Czobor and Violet Robinson. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League, the Wesleyan Church on Boars Head Road, the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
