Obituary of Barbara Katherine Elward

The unexpected death of Barb Elward occurred on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her residence. She was born on October 18, 1962 at Saint John to the late Robert Winnie and Mary Love (Wood). Barb is survived by the father she knew, Raymond Love. She had various health problems through her life but worked at the Canadian Red Cross and with Home Care for Mental Health before she was forced to retire. Barb was an animal lover and was a very crafty person; loving to knit and crochet. Besides her father, Raymond, and husband Ken Elward, Barb is survived by her sisters: Kim Raeburn, Tammy Love (Brian) and Kim England; brother, Danny Collrin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents including, Pearl Wood and her longtime companions, Snowflake and Sasha. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 10:00 am.
