Obituary of Olive Lillie McQuinn
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 14, 2011. She resided at Embassy Hall (Shannex). Olive formerly lived in Midland, NB. She was the wife of the late Hubert McQuinn. Born in Saint John on November 23, 1918 she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ella (Hovey) Shaw. Olive loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She was very faithful to her church, which was a big part of her life. Olive is survived by her six children, Alice (David) Hatfield; Paul (Arlene) McQuinn; John (Verna) McQuinn; Ella Morand; Lois (Harry) Morrell and Walter (Cheryl) McQuinn; twelve grandchildren, Jeff (Michelle) Hatfield; David (Theresa) Speight; Dean (Nancy) Speight; Dale (Jamie) Burke; Cory (Lynsi) McQuinn; Vicky (Ronnie) O’dell; Pamela (Doug) Robichaud; Kimberly (Richard) Watmore; Kevin Morrell; Peter Morrell; Alex McQuinn and Scott (Maria) McQuinn; thirteen great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Hatfield; Wyatt Speight; Bailey and Clair; Nicholas Burke; Austin O’dell; Hunter O’dell; Thomas Robichaud; Jensen Robichaud; Mychayla Robichaud; Trista Robichaud; Devyn Watmore and Jamie Watmore; one sister, Dorothy Foote; two brothers, Lloyd (Helen) Shaw and Hazen "Doug" (Shirley) Shaw; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her granddaughter, Diane Brunell; son-in-law, Al Morand; sisters, Goldie, Ethel, Ruth, Margaret and Hilda; two brothers, Freddie and Calvin. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Visitation will also take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Outreach Pentecostal Church, Hatfield Point from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm. Interment in Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point.
