Obituary of Pauline Elizabeth Winnie

With profound sadness, the family of Pauline (Moses) Winnie wishes to announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, May 29, 2009. She was born on May 23, 1932 at Digby, NS to the late Charles and Abbygail (Ogden) Francis. Pauline moved her family from Digby to Saint John in 1963. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Pauline will be missed by all of her children: Calvin of Quispamsis, Ron “Bugsie” of Victoria, BC, Roger, Derrick, Peggy (Pat Gallant) and Mary-Jane all of Saint John, NB, Murray of Hamilton, ON and Kelly of Fredericton, NB; brothers: Alfie, Donny and Oscar; sister, Shirley and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased her husband Walter Winnie in 1994; brothers: Charlie, Victor “Buddy”, Claude, Gordie and Bobby; two sisters: Edna and Winnfred “Sis” Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
