Obituary of Olga Letson

Letson, Olga - It is with great sadness that the family of Olga (Fedoruk) Letson announce her passing on August 30, 2009 at the Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John after a lengthy battle with Corticobasal Degeneration. Born February 27, 1933 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late John Fedoruk and Anastasia (Polinetz) Fedoruk formerly of Romania. She was raised in Smithtown, NB and graduated from Hampton Consolidated School in 1950. She was the wife of the late Philip Letson to whom she was married for 39 years prior to his passing in 1993. She worked throughout her life in Saint John eventually retiring from the Canadian Red Cross. She was a gifted artist, loved animals, nature, spending time with her family and enjoyed mystery novels. She will be missed for her loving kindness, generosity and her sense of humor which carried her through life. She is survived by her five children; three daughters; Dianne Robinson (Darryl), Debbie Smith (Gregory), Katherine Boudreau (Jean Guy), two sons Philip Letson and George Letson (Janice); six grandchildren Patty Martin (Lance), Jennifer Letson, Andrew Letson, Cherise Letson, Liam Boudreau and Paige Boudreau; two great-grandchildren Nicky Martin and Zachary Atwell all of whom she loved so much. She is also survived by one brother Daniel Fedoruk of Cawston, BC as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved sister Agnes (Fedoruk) Steele. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 12:05 pm. Private family interment will take place in Titus Hill Cemetery, Titusville, NB.
