Obituary of Jean Carol Wilson
The death of Jean Carol Wilson, of 41 McKay Street, Saint John, occurred on February 20, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Mary (Walsh) Wilson. Jean fondly attended both St. Ann’s and St. Joachim’s Churches and was a member of Cursillo, Christopher and Charismatic movements. She was an RNA who touched many lives through her work at both the hospital and as a private duty nurse. A charter member of AIDS Saint John where she continued as an active volunteer. Jean loved family, friends, music and travelling. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by her sons Wayne Allaby (Jean) of Oromocto, Richard Allaby (Kim) of Saint John, daughter Rose McCutcheon (Neil) of Saint John, grandchildren Tara, Tasha, Teri, Teena, Tyler, Corin, Lindsey, Devon, Rose, Justin and Niomi, great-grandson Nicholas, and sisters Margot McIsaac (Ed) of Thornhill, ON, and Ruth Lichti (Gary) of Brampton, ON. Besides her parents Jean was predeceased by her son Percy Douglas ‘Dougie’ (1990) and her sister Star Cathleen. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 10:00 am, from St. Peter’s Church. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to AIDS Saint John would be appreciated by Jean.
