Obituary of Stanley Henry Tytler

Tytler, Stanley Henry – The death of Stanley Henry Tytler of Hampton, NB, husband of the late Doris (Pinchback) Tytler occurred on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in London, England on November 23, 1923, he was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Everson) Tytler. Stan was a veteran of WWII having served in England with the Bedford and Hartfordshire Regiment. Trained as a machinist from the age of 15, he immigrated to Canada with his wife and sons in March 1965 and continued as a machinist and training others until his retirement in 1993. Known as “grand-dad” to many of the foster children cared for by Ian and Dianne, with whom he lived. Survived by his two sons: Danny (Roxanne) of Quispamsis, NB and Ian (Dianne) of Hampton; five grandchildren: Melody (Les) Carr, Craig (Terry) Tytler, Michelle Saunders, James (Michelle) Tytler and Jeremy (Tabitha) Tytler; nine great-grandchildren: Taylor, Keleigh, Destiny, Cody, Alexander, Zachary, Madison, Emalee and Dakota; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, spouse, two brothers and a sister. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Sunday from 1 pm until the time of the service. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 2 pm. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetic Association or any charity of choice.
