Obituary of Joan M. Curtis

The death of Joan Marie Curtis of Shamrock Court, Saint John, wife of William “Bill” Curtis, occurred on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Helen (Clark) Dorbyson. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Vernon, Stephen and Dwayne, two daughters, Kimberly Profit and Marjorie Curtis, two brothers, Malcolm Dorbyson and Ralph Dorbyson, four sisters, Annie Knee, Alice Roy (Alfred), Louise Ferris (Bill) and Marjorie Hudson (John), all of Saint John, eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson, Matthew Allan David Curtis, brothers, Norman “Hobbie” and Louis and sisters, Ada and Ethel. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
