Obituary of Phyllis Mary Margaret Hanson

Hanson, Phyllis M. M. – The death of Phyllis (Milford) Hanson, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late G. Holly Hanson, occurred on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Saunders) Milford. Phyllis graduated from St. Vincent’s High School. She was employed at the Unemployment Insurance Commission, The Evening Times Globe, Property Compensation Board and was employed as an assistant and administrator for the Family Courts for several years. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Church, the CWL and the Saint John Lion’s Club ‘Lionettes’. Survived by her son, Dr. Chistopher Reibling (Sally Dickins-Reibling) of Toronto, ON, as well her nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thanks and blessings to the many supporting and loving caregivers, most notably, Colleen Turner, Brenda Seale, Linda Fox, Nancy Wills, Karrie Rogers and Elizabeth Bastarache, and many others too numerous to mention. Phyllis was predeceased by her first husband, George C. Reibling, and her brothers, Jack and Barry. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, at 12:00 pm. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery and Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to Diabetes Association or the a charity of the donor’s choice.
