Obituary of Ernestine F. Montford

MONTFORD, ERNESTINE F.- The death of Ernestine Frances Montford of 14 King Square South, Saint John, wife of 59 years to Percy Montford, occurred on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Mrs. Montford was born in Saint John on August 31, 1921. She and her husband summered in the Belleisle and wintered in Florida for many years. She was an avid bridge player and was a very giving person, devoting her life to her family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Terry of Saint John, one sister, Audrey McGovern of London, ON, two grandchildren, Philip Montford of St. F.X. University and Kelly Ann Delucry of Grand Bay-Westfield, one great grandson, Matthew Delucry, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Philip Montford and 6 brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
