Obituary of Barbara Lynn Vautour

On Tuesday, May 3, 2005, surrounded by her family, Barbara “Barb” Lynn Vautour of Saint John West, wife of Gerald Vautour, peacefully went to be with her Lord. Born in Saint John on November 12, 1961, she was the daughter of Helen (Beattie) Hannah of Rothesay and the late George Donald “Sonny” Hannah Sr. Barb graduated from Saint John High School and attended the Saint John School of Nursing, graduating in 1981. She was a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics Department of the Saint John Regional Hospital for the past 24 years. Barb attended Forest Hills United Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, knitting and cross stitching. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her children, Josh and Julie, both at home, one brother, George Hannah Jr. (Cindy) of Saint John, one sister, Joan Albert (Mike) of Quispamsis, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 2:15 PM. Remembrances to any Saint John Food Bank would be appreciated.
