Obituary of Roberta J. Kern

The death of Mrs. Roberta Jean Kern of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Frederick T. Kern, occurred on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Robert John and Edna (Stevens) Currie. Roberta was a long time member of Douglas Avenue Christian Church. She is survived by a son, Andrew (Allison) of British Columbia and a daughter, Dawn Millett of Saint John, NB; six grandchildren, Stephen Fritz-Millett, Cynthia Millett, Erik Millett, Jodi Millett, Thomas Kern and Stephen Kern; seven great-grandchildren, Victoria, Aaron, Aidan, Ka-Liong, Amelia, Mariah and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Hazel Miller and Irene Loomer. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506)634-7424, where visitation will take place on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. only. Funeral service will be on Monday at Douglas Avenue Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Douglas Avenue Christian Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
