Obituary of Yetta Agnes Parks
The death of Yetta Agnes Parks, 93 years, formerly of Clarendon Street, Saint John, wife of the late Frank Parks, occurred on Sunday, January 5, 2003, at Kennebec Manor Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, on June 29, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Brunswick and Ethel Jane (MacFarlane) Cronk. Mrs. Parks was employed at Dreskins for many years before her retirement. In her younger years, Yetta lived in Halifax, NS, and was a survivor of the Halifax explosion. She is survived by one sister, Edith Frances Cronk, of Saint John, sister-in-law, Betty Cronk of Oromocto, two nieces, Jacqueline Blackburn (Terry) of Oromocto and Nancy LeRoy (Jack) of Quispamsis and one nephew, Robert Cronk (Suzanne) of Dartmouth, NS. She was predeceased by her son, Frank Parks and two brothers, Murray Lewis Cronk and William Henry (Bill) Cronk. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery, Clifton Royal, in the spring. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
