Obituary of Harry H. Snell
The death of Harry H. Snell of 611 Nerepis Road, Grand Bay-Westfield, husband of K. Prudence (Greer) Snell, occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late John and Charlotte (Williamson) Snell. Mr. Snell was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Canadian Army and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with various construction companies, until his retirement and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Pipefitter's Union. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Eric (Lynda) of Bristol, NB and Brian (Mary) of Rowley, NB, two daughters, Wanda Burgess of Saint John and Krista London of Grand Bay-Westfield, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, George Snell and Robert Kerr and sisters, Marie Cameron, Elsie Nelson and Elizabeth McLaughlin. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Field of Honour. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Friday at 7:00 PM, at the Funeral Home. www.brenansfh.com
