Obituary of Eileen Nada Stevenson
Eileen Nada (Lewis) Stevenson, 81, of 219 Ellerdale Street, Saint John, formerly of Regent Street East, passed away on November 14, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Avard and Myrtle Lewis. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, and formerly All Saints Church. She had been actively involved in many church activities, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, a Choir Mother, and served with the ACW Junior Auxiliary. She was a member of the Orange Lodge, Baxter # 60, I.O.D.E., Martello Tower Lodge #25, and King Edward Home and School Association. Eileen was a volunteer for many years at the East Saint John Food Bank, the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Eileen will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jack, of 60 years, daughter Marilyn (Jack) Evans of Quispamsis, son, John (Kathy) Stevenson of Greenwood, NS, and daughter, Patti (Tim) Withers of Quispamsis, one sister, Audrey Ellis of Ajax, ON, one brother, Warren Lewis of Truro, NS, seven grandchildren, Krista Bishop (Darren), Greg Evans (Robin), Jacqueline Stevenson, John Stevenson (Julie), Katherine Trask (James), Melenie and John Withers, four great-grandchildren, Sean Stevenson, Jillian and Andrew Bishop, and Laura Evans, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Donald, and sister, Dorothy. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2002, at 11:00 AM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
