Obituary of Ruby Bertha Cobb

The death of Ruby Bertha (Learning) Cobb, age 80, of Brookview Crescent, Saint John, wife of the late George E. Cobb, occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Hiscock) Learning. Ruby was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd for many years. She is survived by son Lewis of Fredericton, step-sons George of Shediac, William (Ellie) of Langley, BC and Wallace of St. John's, NF, three sisters Gladys (Herbert) Long, Florence Attwood, Rosalie Squires, two brothers Robert (Ruby) Learning all of St. John's, NF, Arthur (Doris) Learning of Bedford, NS, sister-in-law Gail Learning of Winnipeg, MB, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Frederick and Allan. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2002 from the Church of Good Shepherd Manawagonish Road at 3:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
