Obituary of Clifford Harris Fillmore

It is with great sadness the family of Clifford Fillmore (Kippy) announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, April 4, 2015. At home surrounded by his loving family, born November 1, 1930. He was the son of the Late Willard and Gladys (Hughes) Fillmore. Clifford is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marion H. (George) Fillmore; his daughter, Marion G. St. Pierre (Donald); granddaughters, Marion M. St. Pierre (Crawford); Monique St. Pierre (John McNiven); Melissa Dunlay (Jason); great grandchildren, Jordan and Jamison Crawford, Alexander, Nicole, Nathan, Bradley Dunlay; stepson, Sanford McLaughlin (Jeannine, Lisa, Sebastien); sisters, Bonnie Colburn, Eleanor Hopkins, Gloria Jennings (Cecil), Barbara Stinson (Ray) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Gladys Bartlett, Frances Abbott, Charlotte Craine, Shirley Tchir and brother Willard (Bud) Fillmore. Clifford was a well-known mechanic and a founding member of Local 946 Operating Engineers. He was a life-long, diligent volunteer with Branch #69 Legion. Most of all, in his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren and being at his cottage on Prince Edward Island. He touched the lives of many people. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home (634-7425), 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West. Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 2-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Saint Anne’s Cemetery, Musquash later in the spring. A tribute to a Veteran service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
