Obituary of Hazel Anne Fulton
Hazel (Halford) Fulton passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Hazel was the wife of the late Robinson (Bob) Fulton, and daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Halford.
After her marriage, Hazel became a full time wife, and mother to her three children: Anne Fulton, Marlene (Rick) Embleton, and Kevin (Shelley Koven). She is also survived by her brother in law Lauchlan (Sherry) Fulton, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sister Violet (Warren) Ingersoll; brother Dr. Ernest (Betty) Halford; sister-in-law Allison Thurrott; and brother-in-law, Gerry Thurrott. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Hazel grew up on a farm in Acton and the family later moved to Harvey Station. Her father ran "Halford’s Hall", where her great love of music was cultivated. She could never sit still when she heard Don Messer playing. Hazel had a wonderful sense of humour, a great joy for life, and for her, the glass was always more than half full. We will miss her so very much.
The family wish to thank the staff of Kennebec Manor for looking after our mother so well over the past seven and a half years.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 3 to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2 pm from St. Columba Presbyterian Church, 1454 Manawagonish Road, Saint John. Remembrances to Kennebec Manor or St. Columba Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
