Ron Berry - Betty's son posted a condolence
David , so sorry to hear about your Mom this morning when I was at the manor. I wish I had known her in the past. She was a well accomplished woman and I'm sure a great mother etc. Interesting that she has many years at BNS. I am a retired banker (RBC) & my future son in law is with BNS. My wife also worked for BNS way back in the 70's before she saw the light and moved to the Royal.ha. My dad passed in 2007 & he had earlier stage Alzheimer's. His heart took him at 86, but he drove his car up until 2 weeks before he left us. My regrets to the family. Ron Berry

Andrew and David - Jon told me yesterday that your mother had passed away. I was very sorry to hear that. Just yesterday I was thinking about your father and mother just the other day when my wife and I were talking about how to get our kids to hockey and other activities. I got so many drives from your father! I'll always remember how good both your parents were. Pat

Andrew and Dave, I was very sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a great lady - always so warm and kind to us. Particularly the hockey boys. I think the first time I met your Mom was when I was 10 or 11 years old and she handed me a hot chocolate as I stood in your garage and watched your Dad painting our Atom A hockey helmets blue. Behind every good hockey Dad is usually a great Mom, and she certainly was that. I still laugh when I think of your Dad driving us for hockey, leaning up against the car door with a coffee in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. Your Mom must have been so supportive. While her passing is sad, I can tell you that all my thoughts and memories of her are good. Hope you guys can also remember all the good things about her. Best, Jon

I'm sorry to hear of your Mum's passing Andrew. I met her at your wedding. She was so thrilled that you and Holly were married. I know she has not been herself in later years. Was she diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease? My mum also had Alzheimer's. It's difficult to watch your Mum live with such a progressive disease. I'm thinking of all of you. Love, Aunt Marj
