Obituary of Barbara Jean Kinnear

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Kinnear of Saint John, beloved wife of Robert Kinnear, announces her death which occurred on Monday, September 15, 2014, at her home. Born in Saint John on May 3, 1956, she was a daughter of Olive (Sweeney) Fournier of Saint John and the late Vernon Fournier. Barb worked as a legal secretary for nearly 40 years, her friends and family will miss her friendly smile, sense of humour and unconditional love. In addition to her husband, Barb is also survived by her daughters, Leanne Kinnear (Daniel Teed) of Saint John and Kate Bateman (Lee) of Dartmouth; son, Joseph Robert Kinnear of PEI; siblings, Thomas Fournier, Brenda Fournier, Linda O’Hara (James) and Donna Lohnes (Peter) all of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service, which will be held on Friday September 19th at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home Chapel, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425). Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice (Hospice Greater Saint John).
