Obituary of Norman Joseph Vautour

The unexpected death of Norman Vautour of Eel River Crossing and formerly of Saint John, loving companion and husband of Fernande Joncas occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the Edmundston Regional Hospital. Born on November 6, 1944, Norman was a son of the late Albert and Eva (Richard) Vautour. Norman was born in Saint-Louise-de-Kent and during his teenage years moved along with his family to Saint John. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union for several years. In the Campbellton area, Norman had once owned and operated a home improvement business and after retirement he kept himself active spending time with friends and family. Norman was a seasonal camper and always looked forward to the various weekend tournaments at the campground. He will be sadly missed by the many friends he has made over the years. In addition to Fernande, Norman is also survived by his children, Bob and Roger (Tina) all of Quispamsis, Joshua (Jazmine) of Ottawa and his step son Serge Joncas (Eel River Crossing NB); siblings, Louis, Leonard (Beryl) and Jacqueline all of Saint John and Jeanne (Gary) of Moncton; six grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 12:00 –2:00 PM and will be immediately followed by the funeral service at Brenan’s Bay View Chapel, at 2:00 PM.
