Obituary of Joan Eileen McHutchion

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmohter. Joan was born on March 4, 1928 in Paris, ON and she passed on June 4, 2014 in Saint John. On July 5, 1947 Joan married the love of her life Donald "Pete" McHutchion and together for nearly 67 years they shared many adventures. In 1975, Joan and Pete moved to St. George and in 2004 they moved to Grand Bay-Westfield to share their life with their youngest daughter, Michelle and her husband, Mike and their children, Sam and Ashley. Joan is survived by her husband, Donald "Pete" McHutchion; children, Linda (John) Stryker, Donna (Keith) Disher, Debbie (Roland) McHutchion, Marian (Frank) Klenk, Lisa (Doug) Depew and Michelle (Mike) Doucet; brother, Jim (Yvonne) Walker; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Marianne Walker. Joan faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 59 years. She passed peacefully, confidently awaiting God’s promise to be resurrected when God will "make all things new" "as in heaven also upon earth." Revelation 21: 3-5 and Matthew 6: 10 Special thank you to Turnbull Nursing home for the loving and personal care. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service, which will be held from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Grand Bay-Westfield on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Westfield Kingdom Hall.
