Obituary of Alton Marvin Hall

Alton Marvin Hall of Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home, Saint John, husband of the late Elva (Doughty) Hall, went home to be with his Lord on May 18, 2014 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 15, 1932 in Rollingdam, Charlotte County, he was a son of the late Marvin and Carrie (Murphy) Hall. Alton was a truck driver and a mechanic for most of his life. He was a member of the Grand Bay Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Galbraith (Scott); grandchildren, Katrina and Sarah, Lorneville; step-son, Paul Doughty (Dorothy), Musquash; step-grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Jamie and Cheryl; 2 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents and his wife Elva, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack; step-grandchild, Bradley. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Lorneville Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Grand Bay Baptist Church or Lorneville Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
