Obituary of Michael Carl McGraw

The death of Mike McGraw of West Saint John, beloved husband of Susan (McGillicuddy) McGraw occurred suddenly on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on October 13, 1960, he was the son of the late Hector and Amelia (Patrick) McGraw. Mike was a community focused entrepreneur and a proud Westsider. He was owner and president of IDC Worldsource Insurance Network Atlantic. Mike was a passionate hockey fan and coached within the community for several years. He was also part owner of the Saint John Sea Dogs. Mike was founder and president of the Atlantica Centre for the Arts. He was also involved with the Conservative Party. Mike was a humble man with a generous spirit who worked endlessly for causes he truly believed in. He especially enjoyed spending time with "the boys" at his camp on Kelly Lake. Most of all, Mike adored his family and treasured all the times spent with those he loved. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his loving wife, Susan, Mike is also survived by his precious daughters, Brittany and Maggie, both at home; siblings, Elsie McGraw, Shirley Gorman (Raymond), Hector McGraw Jr. (Patsy) and Paul McGraw (Brenda), all of Saint John; several nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends.
