Obituary of Raymond Allison Nason

Nason, Raymond Allison- The death of Raymond Allison Nason, husband of the late Dorothy Bernice (Coleman) Nason, occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his residence in the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Fredericton Junction on January 13, 1920, he was a son of the late Pennell Kelly and Hattie Ellen (Webb) Nason. Ray spent his working years as a Construction Electrician. In his younger years, he was very athletic and spent his time playing hockey, baseball, and swimming and diving. He was a great music lover, and spent many hours walking the Irving Nature Park. Ray is survived by his daughter, Sharon Stout (Buddy) of Saint John; son, Gary Nason (Marie Anne) of Calgary, AB/Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Lisa Stout, Chris Stout, Shawna Mahaney, Bethany Stout, Sheila Nason, Sean Nason, and James Nason; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, and was predeceased by his parents and his 9 brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 3pm-7pm, at which time a funeral service will be held in Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Hillcrest Baptist Church or the Saint John Animal Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
