Obituary of Alice Louise DesRoche

DESROCHE, ALICE LOUISE – Alice Louise DesRoche of Saint John, wife of the late Frederick J. DesRoche, passed away very peacefully on February 5, 2014, at home. Born at Tay Creek, N.B. on November 17, 1929 she was a daughter of Frederick and Evelyn (Sansom) Rogers. Alice was an excellent wife and mother who loved a good game of cards and spending time with Fred and her family at their cottage in Public Landing. Alice is survived by daughters Jean (James) Harper and Linda (Richard) King; sons Tom (Millie) DesRoche and Peter (Sue Roy) DesRoche; sisters Jean Rogers and Ellen Greeves; brother Howard (Clementine) Rogers; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Florence, Glenna and Sue and an infant son Frederick. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12:00 Noon from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
