Obituary of Stanley Percy Leet

Stanley Percy Leet, passed away January 18, 2014 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John. Born in Harcourt Parish, NB, on May 23, 1921 to the late William and Minnie (Robinson) Leet. He served in WWII from 1944-1946, in Canada and also in the Korean War as a member of the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry for 1950-1951. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Stanley loved working in the woods as a woodsman and with horses. Surviving are his children, Malcolm Leet (Dorean), Minto; Wanda Leet, Moncton; Mona Dorion (Fernand), Moncton; Jean Leet, Moncton; Terry Dickinson (Terrance), Chipman; Joyce Akey, St. Stephen; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; niece, Sheila Savoie, Chipman. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ethelene (Copeland) Leet; children, Margo Leet, Doris Leet and Dean Leet, infancy; sister, Doris Anderson; grandson, Troy Steeves. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425). The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in United Baptist Cemetery, Minto. For those who wish, remembrances to the Royal Canadian Legion or to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated by the family.
