Obituary of Claude Joseph Frenette

The death of Claude Joseph Frenette of Saint John, beloved husband of Barbara (McHugh) Frenette, occurred on Monday, November 25, 2013, at his home. Born in Beresford, NB on May 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Thomas and Noella Frenette. Prior to his retirement, Claude was employed by the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission in management and worked at the Workers Rehabilitation Centre in Grand Bay-Westfield. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Claude was an avid gardener and also enjoyed hockey. Most of all, he treasured times spent with his dear family who were his world. In addition to his wife, Claude is also survived by his children, Susan Marie Cooper (Steven), Karen Lynn Frenette and Dr. Thomas Patrick Frenette (Maryse); siblings, Adrien Frenette (Gisele), Eliane Hachey (Aurele), Elizabeth Lalond (Yves), Huguette Boucher and Ireneé Frenette (Pauline); two grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rosie Frenette and Dorice Frenette; brother-in-law, Ronald McHugh (Carolyn); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Valmond and Gerald; as well as brother-in-law, Patrick McHugh (Sandra). Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Wednesday, November 27, and Thursday, November 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, Saint John on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
