Obituary of Eleanor June Thorne

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of June, beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Thorne at Loch Lomond Village, Saint John NB surrounded by family & friends, on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Born in West Saint John the daughter of the late Alan and Edna (Dobson) Mason on June 1, 1932. A life long resident of Saint John, she was a stay at home Mom and after her children were grown she went to work at Nielson Promotion Services (NCH). June and Dick spent their summers trailering at Pine Cone in Sussex, where they enjoyed many years of good times with wonderful long time friends. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Cathy (Ken) Fair; son Tim (Toni), Daughter–in-law Joanne (late Scott); sisters Muriel (Leslie) Short, Abbie (Ron) Brown, Dianne "Honey" (late Jim) Summerville; brothers Gene (Hilda) Mason and Gary Mason (Kevin); grandchildren Chelsea, Kendra (Mark), Brendyn, Ashley, Ryan, Andrew, Brett, Sean and Dana; great grandson Kale; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son Scott; sister, Lorna Flowers; and brothers, Joe and Jack. The family would like to thank their extended family at the Loch Lomond Village for all their loving care and support over the past year and a half. Resting at Brennan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, (634-7425) with visiting on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM. Funeral Service will take place at Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow. Interment will be at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to The Loch Lomond Village Cedar House would be appreciated by the family.
