Nancy Syroid posted a condolence
Bill was such a close friend to Dad and Mum, he was like extended family. I really liked visiting him as he always had a smile on his handsome face and a story or joke to tell. He never seemed to be in a bad mood. I visualize Bill with Mary in heaven having a happy hour with Mum and Dad. Cheers to a man who really lived a life to the fullest. He will be missed. Our condolences to you and family Nancy and Jack

Margaret Stackhouse posted a condolence
My sincere sympathy to all Bill's family, he was one of the "best"....My dad Stan Biggins was in St Joe's at the same time as Mary and he used to get her tea and help her to the table, he also died in 1997. I have known Bill since the early seventies when I came to Westfield United Church and he was always the same, such a gentleman in every way. He will be greatly missed. Blessings Margaret Stackhouse.

Heather and Dave: It is hard to find the words that might bring you comfort on the loss of your loving Father. Perhaps just knowing that we are thinking of you with sympathy and understanding will somehow help to give you strength at this difficult time. Please know your Cornwall, Ontario friends are thinking of you. Becky and Orval Brownell

Peter and Wendy Martin and Family posted a condolence
We are saddened by the passing of Uncle Bill. Our lasting memories of him will be his sense of humour, fly fishing , trips to Wedderburn and his sitting on the back deck taking in the beauty of the St John River. He now has the opportunity to fish once more with his best friend Harold. Sorry we will not be able to make the trip east for the memorial service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Warmest regards Pete and Wendy

Charles and Janet Stewart-Robertson posted a condolence
Even as Janet and I remember with deepest affection and, along with countless others, pay tribute to Bill, we are mindful of what our eldest son remarked in an e-note from Glasgow, Scotland; that, although others might imagine Bill with fishing-pole in hand (or in our case, pottering in his garden and bringing up a basket full of deliciously ripened veggies for dinner, a twinkle ready in his eye), Tristan chose to "imagine him with Mary." That for all of the Stewart-Robertsons will be a rich, enduring, and ever-inspiring memory image to hold and to cherish in our hearts. With loving thoughts to all the family, Rob and Janet, Tristan, Owen, Graeme, and Clara

Sue Hargreaves posted a condolence
Suffice to saw the entire world has lost a truly gentle, but very strong, man. He "served" internationally on occasions too numerous to recall here. He leaves behind so many people of all ages who admired, loved, respected and learned so many positive things from him. Please know your family is in my thoughts and prayers but I do give thanks for having known this wonderful friend. Respectfully, Sue
