Obituary of Evelyn Pearl Ebbett

With sadness we announce the death of Evelyn Ebbett which occurred on July 28, 2013 at the Sussex Health Center. Evelyn was born July 14, 1929 at Somerville, Mass., the daughter of the late Frank and Rachel Knollin Armstrong. She was the wife of the late Neil Ebbett for more than fifty years. Evelyn retired from the N B Telephone Company and was a member of the NB Tel Pioneers. Evelyn and Neil enjoyed many holidays in Florida and travelled widely on European and Southern Cruises. She is survived by sisters, Jean Webb of P.E.I, Verna Mills (Don) and Leah Armstrong of Saint John, brothers, Tom (Helen) and Kenneth (Lillian) of Sussex and Russell (Ann) of Joggins, N.S., sister-in-law Frances Armstrong, Saint John and brother-in-law Patrick Plested, Toronto, and Aunt Rene Armstrong. To many cousins, nieces and nephews, Evelyn was a loving and generous friend. She was predeceased by sister, Margaret Plested. At Evelyn’s request, there will be no visiting for funeral service. Following cremation, interment will take place at Upper Hampstead Cemetery on August 01 at 1 p.m. Friends are invited to attend. Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425) are entrusted with the arrangements. Remembrances made to the Salvation Army, Hospice Greater Saint John (Bobby’s Hospice) or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
