Obituary of C. Wayne Brown

Wayne Brown of Saint John, husband of the late Donna (Emery) Brown, passed away on July 10, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 11, 1946, he was a son of the late Horace and Margaret (Harding) Brown. Wayne was a Longshoreman at the Port of Saint John, and a member of I.L.A Local 273. He coached hockey in the 1970’s, with the Lancaster Minor Hockey Association, and Barnhill School, and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Dipper Harbour. Wayne is survived by his sons David (Janet) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Michael, brother Cary, and grandchildren Steven (Megan) of Renfrew, ON, Theo of Calgary, and Laura of Grand Bay-Westfield. Wayne was pre-deceased by his parents Horace and Margaret, and his wife, Donna. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, no public funeral services will be observed, and a private family interment will take place in the Maces Bay Community Cemetery at a later date.
