Obituary of Carman Douglas Graham

Carman Douglas Graham of Woodman’s Point, husband of Marsha E. (Logan) Graham, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, surrounded by his family. Carman was born in Saint John on December 2, 1944, a son of the late Arthur and Patricia (Demmings) Graham. He worked as a pipefitter on various projects in the Saint John area, being a member of the Pipefitters Local 213. Carmen also volunteered with the Westfield Fire Department and the Westfield Ambulance. In his spare time, Carmen enjoyed hunting and fishing, operated a meat cutting operation, and was a railroad enthusiast. Carmen and Marsha were former members of the Carleton Curling Club, and enjoyed trailering and spending time at Carman’s family homestead in Gaspereau, Queens County. In addition to his wife of 48 years, Carman is survived by his sons, Casey Carman Graham of Saint John, and Travis William Graham (Mav Conway) of Woodman’s Point; grandchildren Andrew and Jessica; a brother, Bennett Graham (Lois) of Grand Bay-Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the Extra Mural Nurses who were so kind and attentive to Carman during his illness. In keeping with Carman’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be observed. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425). For those who wish, remembrances to the Extra Mural Foundation, the Canadian Red Cross, or the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
