Obituary of Margaret Frances King

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret F. King of Saint John, wife of the late B. Scott King, which occurred on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Turnbull Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on September 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and Maude (Peck) Nelson. Margaret was a member of the former Waterloo Street Baptist Church, where she was involved with the Women’s Missionary Society and the Friendly Fellowship. She was currently a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She and her husband summered at Cambridge Narrows for many years. Margaret is survived by step-son Doug King (Lillian) of Saint John; two step grandchildren, Susan Downing and Scott King; two step great grandchildren; three nephews, Barry (Jean), David (Karen), and Peter; a niece, Helen; five great nieces and nephews, Virginia, Judy, Kevin, Janet, and Andrew; as well as many great great nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her brother, George and his wife Mary; her nephew Roger; and her great great nephew, James. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Cornerstone Baptist Church, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
