Dear Margot and family,
I encountered Ray in May at Dr. Demmings office. As usual it was a pleasure to have a chat with him. I am shocked by his passing. I remarked how young and fit he looked and that many of our contemporaries have not been so blessed. My deepest sympathy to you and the family. In some ways, our time at the Milledgeville Work Center seems like only yesterday. They were good times, and it was similar times when running into Ray. Reflect on those good times and may God bless you and the family.

I am shocked and saddened to hear this news.
My wife and I chatted with Ray less than a week ago at Costco.
I first met Ray when I started at the phone company in 1966.
I worked with him in the Data Group in the 1990s.
I chatted with him regularly when I worked at Kent Bldg. Supplies.
Ray was a gentleman and always had something amusing to say.

Margot, and family,
Heart felt condolences to each of you. Ray was a pleasure to work with, usually sharing a joke and a contagious grin. He was a staple in the community. Upon his retirement, I often saw him in various areas of the city, from uptown to Milledgeville. Ray always had time for a smile, chat and a hearty laugh. His demeanor was charming yet infectious.
Wishing you peace and courage as you navigate through this difficult time.

My sincere sympathies to Margo and family
When playing cards at Margo’s will miss Ray coming home and coming Olin the room to say hi and always had a story or joke to tell. Especially the time I was going home from work with him,it was raining and we had to walk down the street behind one of his apartments where he usually parked. Then he remembered he parked in the car park that day. We had to walk all the way back in the rain. Likely still laughing about that

To the Maber Family,
The staff of Good Fibrations; Liz, Emily, Cyndi, Dan, Jenn, and Cathy are so very deeply saddened by this loss. Ray looked after us as part of the Masonic building retail space, and boy did he do a great job!
But it was more than that. Always a calm and caring presence, he helped us get through Covid with his quiet reassurance and kind words. He became a friend, and we all looked forward to his visits, his stories, his laughter and his ability make a problem disappear. Nothing was too much trouble, and we could always count on Ray. I’ll miss his daily doorstep conversations early in the morning as we talked about current events, news on the Street, but most of all our families.
Thank you for sharing him with us all. He was, to quote one of the employees at Obscurity, our Ray of Sunshine.
Please accept our deepest condolences at this difficult and painful time.
