Obituary of Margaret Rose Ferguson Plourde
It is with broken hearts the family announce the passing of Margaret Rose Ferguson Plourde on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John, N.B. in 1945, Margaret Rose was a daughter of the late Wilfred Joseph Bannan and Hazel Blanche (Delaney) Bannan, and wife of Angelbert Plourde.
Margaret had a heart dedicated to helping others within her community. In her younger years, she was passionate about playing bingo and found joy in singing and dancing to all types of music. She took great joy in collecting angels and was an angel herself through her acts of kindness towards others. Her favourite time of the year was always Christmas, when she cherished gatherings with family and friends. Throughout the years, she cherished meeting family and friends almost every other day at her favourite spots, the Coffee Mill Restaurant and Island Girls Diner. Mostly importantly, she loved deeply, spread kindness with all, and cared for everyone who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her husband; Angelbert Plourde, one son; Lorne J. Ferguson Jr., of Saint John, one daughter; Roxanne E. (Darren) Gray, of Saint John, four grandchildren; Jordan Joseph Emmerson Ferguson (Mitchell), and Brandon Emmerson Joseph Ferguson (Julie Marie Sapilan), Corey Graham Ferguson, all of Saint John, and Jenna Rose Ferguson (Brandon), of Toronto, three brothers, Wilfred J. (Marina) Bannan, of Ottawa, Gary Bannan, and Donny (Pat) Bannon, of Saint John, three sisters; Betty (Bob) Fergus, of Grand Bay, Cindy (Rob) Goguen, and Diana (Bruce) White, of Saint John, brother – in – law; Malcolm Hughes, of Ontario, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; Wilfred and Hazel Bannan, her first husband, Lorne G. Ferguson (2004), and one sister Lorraine Hughes (2022).
