Obituary of E. Joan Campbell

The death of E Joan Campbell wife of the late J Gordon Campbell of 104 Confederation Ave of New Maryland, NB occurred at her residence following a period of failing health on November 26th , 2010. Born in Simcoe Ontario, May 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late W. Harvey and Gwendolyn (Richards) Wheaton. Though born in Ontario Joan spent the greater part of her life in Saint John and graduated from the former Saint John Vocational School. Joan had been employed over 20 years in the trust industry having been employed with Canada Permanent and Royal Trust Companies. Joan wintered in Florida for a number of years and for 13 years she was the companion of Raymond Provencher. Joan enjoyed crafts especially knitting and crocheting. She is survived by one daughter Linda Boyd (Rick) of New Maryland, N.B two sons David Campbell ( Cheryl) of Saint John and Kevin (Annette)Campbell of Quispamsis. Nine grandchildren Corrie Hackett, Dale Hackett, Pam Hackett, Angela Hackett, Christa Campbell-Rhodes, Andrew Campbell, Traci Macvay, Ashley Campbell and Amy Campbell. Six great grandchildren Michael Horton, Anna Hackett, Addie Rhodes, Morgan Kelly, Mya MacVay and Everett Rhodes. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). With visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 12 noon. Following the service a reception will be held in Brenan’s reception centre then interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the Oncology Department and Staff of 3W, Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital, Extra Mural nurses in Fredericton and Father Ken Weir.
